Danville's Supply Resources recognized

Supply Resources, a Danville-based custom packaging and logistics company, was named as Supplier of the Year for 2009 at Essel Propack's second annual Supplier Conference on March 5.

The award is based on scorecards issued to over 200 suppliers, according to a company news release. With more than 5,000 PO line items issued in 2009, SRI received a total score of 99.5 percent, the release continued.

Supply Resources scored 98.5 percent in quality, 100 percent in on-time deliveries and 100 percent with in-full quantities.

SRI's account manager Kenny Scruggs, who manages 12 associates on-site at Essel Propack, was recognized for his significant contribution.

Additionally, this is a great example of local companies partnering to satisfy demanding supply chain requirements with its neighbors rather than looking outside the region, the company release stated.

Rick Barker said via news release he is "proud to accept the recognition on behalf of his employees and suppliers, who have so earnestly dedicated themselves to this project."
